About Us

Nick Hughes, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designee has been providing guidance to busy professionals and business owners to help them transition to life after work since 2007.  He launched his private practice in 2019 to provide the highest quality, objective financial planning and investment advice for the families he is honored to serve. 

As a strong advocate of lifelong learning and professional development, he completed his term on the board of the Financial Planning Association of East TN as the Director of Programs in 2025.  He enjoys coaching youth football through East Hamilton Youth Association. 

A lifelong native of the Chattanooga area, Nick grew up in Chickamauga, GA. He and his wife, Teffeny, sons Liam and Colin, dog Daisy and cat Harper reside in Apison, TN. In his free time, he enjoys watching his boys play ball, traveling with family, grilling and watching the Atlanta Falcons and Auburn Football.

Through our affiliation with Visionary Horizons, LLC Tyler provides an extra set of eyes to confirm our operations stay compliant with industry regulations. He is responsible for account billing, and maintaining and implementing the firm's cybersecurity policies.

A graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tyler holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Logistics and Transportation. His professional journey spans more than two decades in supply chain, manufacturing, and operations leadership, having led international teams across Georgia, Ohio, and Texas. In 2018, he returned home to Tennessee and made a purposeful transition into the financial services and commercial real estate industries - driven by a desire to help others succeed.

Tyler's connection to Tennessee runs deep. He is a proud member of the First Families of Tennessee, tracing in lineage back to a Fourth Great Grandfather who received a Revolutionary War land grant and settled in what is now Blount County, before the state achieved official statehood. Tyler grew up in nearby Maryville, and now lives in Oak Ridge with his wife and two daughters.

Outside of work, Tyler serves on the Board of Governance for Breast Connect, Inc., and is passionate about leadership development, community service, and continuous improvement. He also enjoys fishing, and as a shade-tree mechanic, take prides in maintaining the family's vehicles and yard equipment. Much of his free time is happily spent supporting his daughters in their chosen endeavors.
